Happy Friday everyone!! Yay – it is here – time to get the ice-cubes frozen and ready for that five o’clock margarita or if you are really really good, perhaps a healthy smoothie is your choice of cocktail? Either way – it’s almost here!
Today I would like to introduce you to my Friday Friend! Her name is Cathy and she has an great blog over at Lets Be Green Together. You may also know her as Frugalgirl on Twitter? If you do not know her – you should definitely give her a visit and say “hello” because she is so so sweet and really funny too!
Cathy created her blog to help others realize the benefits and joy that can come from living a green and frugal lifestyle. She is a vegetarian who loves to cook and shares some of her favorite yummy dishes over at her place! Another fun fact? She and her Navy-man husband were married on Feb. 29, 1992. LEAP YEAR! So she has either been married for 18 years or five – depending on who you ask! Read Cathy’s post on that right here.
Cathy and I have had some good laughs over on Twitter. I just have to share this – too funny. The other night, as we were tweeting, I shared with her how I saw a cute t-shirt at a store that looked like this one (but this one is from cafepress.com) and it made me think of her being a vegetarian ‘n all.
THEN – she begins to tell me that she has a shirt she thinks I might like! This particular shirt says “Being Green Is Hot” – which totally freaked me out bc I too own this shirt but lack the self-confidence to wear it out in public! So there you have it. We have the very same shirt and we have agreed that it would be really fun to sport these “sexy” shirts while at blogging conference LOL! Wouldn’t we be cute? 
Here’s Mine (well sorta. I had no one to take my pic so this one in front of my mirror will have to do – no need to adjust your glasses, it most definitely is spelled bass-ackwards. And sorry about all the wrinkles, it’s my night shirt. Hubs just proofed my post and had a very intelligent question. “Honey, why did you not just turn your arm backwards to take your pic”? Hmmm….can anyone give this blonde a “what what”

Well, how can you not feel special as the Featured Friday Friend? I know I got the warm fuzzies! I am from Texas and if you knwo anything about Texans, we are very very proud of our state. I had a black tee shirt in 1989 with LARGE WHITE words that said, nice and spelled out, I’m cleaning it up for you:
F*CK YOU WE ARE FROM TEXAS!
and a friend’s band name on the back. (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Decadent+Dub+Team) I gave it away eventually to a man in Germany in 1994 who saw it and begged for it. I was through horrifying others by then!
