Feature Friday!!!
This gardening season, pamper your plants with POOP! I am excited to share with you a company that has created Poop Tea! Wait!!! Don’t go away grossed out…this is actually a special line of all natural soil conditioner that comes from Annie Haven and Haven Livestock producers.
Raising ONLY natural grass-fed livestock since 1924, they have remained committed for generations to livestock that is FREE of antibiotics, growth hormones and pesticides. To meet the needs of farmer’s and home gardeners, they have provided a natural high quality by-product that is produced by their very own livestock to ensure the best quality. This by-product (a.k.a. POOP) has been so successful at enriching and conditioning soil for plants, that the Authentic Haven Brand Natural Brew was developed!
So what exactly does an Eco-friendly package of poop look like? It’s beautiful really…if only messy diapers could look so good!
When I talked with the lovely Annie Haven about doing this review, I was definitely not sure what to expect! I had my nose plugged and my diffuser running as I waited at the door for the arrival of my soil conditioner. To my surprise, not only did my tea bag arrive in a nice environmentally-pleasing package…but it didn’t even stink. Nope, in fact – even when I stuck my nose in the open tea bag (Oh yes I did. This girl values a truthful and accurate review my friends, you can count on me for that. Do you SEE my commitment level to you? Remember me when you win the lottery okay)?
What did it smell like then? It just smelled a bit like a farm! Now this doesn’t bother me so much considering we live in the farming district of Indiana. But it was mild and perfect for using on my plants and garden soil!
“Simply put, Haven’s Natural Brew Trea, conditions the soil, so your plants root system can better absorb nutrients needed to build a strong, healthy root base. Awesome! Essentially friends, it is a similar concept to brewing tea that you would drink. But please do not drink this! Here is an example of their Horse Manure “tea”…..
Easy Peasy? I think so! They offer green-minded consumers three varieties to choose from including the horse manure, cow manure and Alfalfa Tea specially designed for your roses!
I really like the pricing too and feel like it is pretty reasonable. You can order a three pack for just 12.95 or a 9 pack for 21.95, and FREE SHIPPING! Annie is generously offering SGM readers a Buy one 3-pack and get a fourth tea bag FREE deal too! I love the garden that we planted last summer and I am so motivated to really make this year even better…more fresh produce, expanding our garden area – and this is a great option for our family to really give things a boost in the right direction. I have to tell you…SGD said to me “that looks like some good SH*T” LOL – we have had way too much fun with this one huh?
Would you like WIN some?
