The long awaited day had arrived. My ihusband had talked and talked about the birth of Apple’s newest “ibaby” that was truly, the topic of discussion all over the place. It had been imagined, rumored, tweeted, envisioned…and anxious onlookers paced in their “waiting rooms” for her birth. As it always is with Apple…they tantilized us with tidbits over the course of months on what their “little one” mgiht be like.
How can this be fair? How can they, without guilt, keep us in this kind of anticipation? The secrecy has been killing us! It’s like an expectant mom and dad, knowing the sex of their baby – picking out a name – getting a super cool 3D ultrasound – and NOT sharing it with the rest of us! Who does that? Seriously, it’s like they purposfully keep us waiting on the edge of our seats…naaah, they would never do that to us. Would they?
I will tell you one thing, I would be the first nosy family member to park my butt at the hospital for the very first, coveted glimpse of that baby that’s for sure. Hmmm…maybe Apple does know a little something about marketing. Ah yes…yes they must!
So delivery day came and with all that anticipation…our hearts were filled with joy at the arrival of our ibaby. Oh – Apple named her ipad – which is cute, but I just think ibaby sounds so sweet you know? It was a special day. I will never forget the look on SGD’s face as he lifted her up and held her for the very first time.
Awww…isn’t she just gorgeous?
What a little peanut…measuring in at aprox. 9.5 inches in length and a mere 1.5 pounds.
Proud Papa!
It’s been a fun couple of days so far with our little ipad ibaby. We love her. We adore her. She is amazing for her teeny tiny little size and capable of so much. As we adjust to life with our new little peanut, we will be sure to keep you all in the know. It will be a joy to learn about her, to see her beauty unfold before us each day. All of the wonder and anticipation has been well worth the wait. And best part? No meds or epidurals even! Gotta love that
Watch this – incredible – things have changed….life with an ipad.
Disclaimer: I did NOT get a free ipad. I wish I could say that I did!

Congratulations on the new addition to your family!!!!!!
Congrats! What an exciting new addition! My husband is going to be so jealous when he hears about your beautiful little ibaby!
Fun! As long as I can remember, I’ve been one to jump on new technology as soon as it came out – much to the dismay of my husband!
I have surprised myself this go-around by not getting one yet – I actually need to get a new iPhone soon, my first generation one is about to die (my amusing brother in law said he hasn’t seen one “in the wild” in a long time!). I’d love to hear updates about how the iPad has changed things for you, do you use it more or less than you thought? Has it replaced anything in terms of electronics equipment for you? Have you found anything particularly difficult to do on the iPad? Has it increased your mobility at all? Have you had any trouble finding wifi hotspots? Lots to consider
Sorry to inundate you with questions, just wanted to let you know you have an interested party out there
Ok seriously, how many smiley faces can I put in ONE measly post?
