During this time of year especially, many children are receiving toys of all shapes, sizes, colors and poisons. That’s right, not only are companies bombarding us with advertisements, and brainwashing our children into thinking that they MUST have the next best toy in order to enjoy Christmas…many are also creating these same “must-have” toys with toxic chemicals like lead, phthalates, and bisphenols/BPA to name a few. Amazingly, ”One of every three toys tested in a study of 1,500 popular children’s toys contained potentially harmful levels of lead, arsenic, mercury and other dangerous chemicals, according to findings released by the Ecology Center” (Forbes.com).
It’s scary, disgusting and downright unacceptable. When we shop and see these toys sitting on the shelf, there is no way to tell which products are made with toxic chemicals and which might be safe. So what can we do to keep our children safe while still enjoying fun toys that should never ever have the potential to threaten their health or safety?
Christmas is coming very soon, as most of you know – I hope! With this comes a choice. We have the choice in where we put our money – purchasing power at it’s finest! I know that sometimes we associate healthy eco-friendly products as having a higher price tag – and some do. But there are others that are trying to make these healthy green goodies more affordable for the average consumer, like me! So I am so thankful to have found out about Careful Planet toys….

I am sure our M will adore her and it feels great to know that this little Good Earth Fairy is safe and healthy for our little girl
