Style Essentials {Review}

It’s the perfect time of year for me to tell you about Style Essentials, know why? Because the founder is a super sweet, super smiley, super wonderful gal named Lisa Liguori!  And with it being the season of all things happy and uplifting – connecting with Lisa might just add some cheer to your world too She has mine – we have even discussed having virtual coffee or tea together!

So what is Style Essentials?

Lisa describes her business as being “like the old fashioned mom and pop businesses that are slowly fading away,” with an added sigh. She strives to offer timely, personal, hands-on service and not to mention a large assortment of all things pretty! Style Essentials includes a full line of items that include natural and pure mineral makeup with only ESSENTIAL ingredients, skin care products as well as high-quality and handcrafted bling (a.k.a. jewelry dahlin *muah*)

My experience?

I received a few samples to test out and I honestly did not know what to expect. I have never used mineral makeup before but I was pleasantly surprised. I am a creature of habit and when I find something that works, I am not easy to change. However, I could change to Style Essentials makeup without even the slightest hesitation. The eyeliner was a tad darker than I usually wear but I tested it out regardless for the sake of seeing how it felt rather than how the shade matched up to my skin. It was lovely! It was a soft tip that went on with ease. I cannot stand those sharp pencils on my lids, ick. Lisa’s liner was just what my little eyelids long for

Next came the exciting part! She sent me a few samples of her mineral eye powders and it was like getting chocolate in the mail. The little bags were shimmering , sparkling and calling my name! “Oh Smiling Green Mom…please oh please put us on your eyes” (disclaimer: Style Essentials does not guarantee talking mineral makeup with any purchase).

I just could not even decide which color to try out first so I put them all on! *giggling* I know, I am sure I sat in front of our Post Office looking like a clown. Why the Post Office? Because I just could not even wait to get myself home before testing. So with dark black liner on my lids and several shades of Earth-Tone taupes, browns and a shimmery “white” – I went about my merry little way feeling goofy happy that I was *finally* wearing MINERAL makeup!

So even though I don’t recommend wearing five colors at one time – I *DO* recommend trying Style Essentials and enjoy knowing that you look gorgeously green!
