…and then God said “Let there be bubbles.” Well maybe He didn’t come right out and “say” that – but I’m sure that MUST be what He was thinking. Think about how breathtaking a sight it is when, after a long hard day…you unwind with a glass of Merlot, candlelight and a bubble bath! It’s just one of life’s little pleasures that can soothe, relax, comfort and be all kinds of messy fun for kids!
Kids love bubbles! A warm bubble bath for a child is like ice cream on a hot day! However…we have banned them from our home with sadness. No bubbles. We’re bubble-less. Why?
Well for starters, bubbles and soaps can irritate the skin and play a role in Urinary Tract Infections and with the typical chemical concoctions of most bubbles on the local store shelves, we’ve avoided them. Boooo…I know, boring parents right? Well, with UTI concerns and our son’s history of eczema, dry and sensitive skin – we didn’t want to risk using anything potentially harmful on our kids while in the tub. For our son – we have never even used soap, shampoo and most certainly do not add any of the bubble stuff. Until recently, that is.
However, I was thrilled when Kristen, founder of The Grapeseed Company and SGM Beauty Expert invited me to try her latest product line! They have a baby!!! Well alright, *she* doesn’t but her company now offers Baby G.
It’s such a cute and clever name which doesn’t surprise me with this company. They work hard to stay in the up and up with research, social media and connecting/engaging with the consumer. Just recently, they posted this on their Facebook page!
How cool is it that they really do want to hear what their customers want? They are a company worth buying from in my opinion!
Okay back to the Baby G! So I really wanted to test this out because I am getting older now and done having my own babies – soo I thought it might be fun to spend time with Kristens! Kidding…
I wanted a bath product for my kids that I knew was from a company I could trust with ingredients that were not only safe and healthy – but passed our “allergy friendly” test. I was more than pleased to read the ingredients (which happen to be on their website right next to every product), and to see that everything would work for our kids! I can honestly say this stuff is wonderful! I love the smell and with a few little squirts into the tub or on a wash cloth – we have clean and happy kids who LOVE taking their baths! Now – what I sampled was this…Baby G Body Wash and it’s intended purpose is not for a bubble bath…but I’m a rebel and made bubbles anyway (I’m okay with the “occasional” bubble bath when the ingredients are gentle and safe). Okay so I was supposed to review this as a soap and I can tell you that it has a lovely soft aroma and definitely did not irritate or dry either of our kids skin at all. It works into a great lather!
We loves it!
The sad part is that I am already wiped out of it! Yikes…guess I need to buy some more eh? The Grapeseed Company runs specials online – and just had a 15% off over the weekend. I missed it though, but will wait until the next one. We are on a tight budget and I always have to wait for sales! (16.00 USD)
So if you have a baby, know of someone with a baby or child or just want some for yourself – Baby G is a thumbs up!
Baby G Features:
-contains over 80% certified organic ingredients
-8.5 oz recyclable bottle & pump
-concentrated water free formula
…..and just wait until your little one snuggles up close while drying off and the soft, sweet aroma of organic lavender and grapeseed extracts, gentle chamomile, and soothing aloe fills your heart!
As with many new mama’s – a baby book is high priority (at least until your second child comes and realism sets in that you have *no* time to even take a shower much less fill your baby book
I know – I had great intentions). So Kristen – here are some pics for Baby G’s baby album
Disclosure: I received a free Baby G in order to do this review. This in no way reflects my thoughts or opinions.

Thanks for the wonderful review Lynn! Your little guy is absolutely adorable!!! I’m so glad he enjoyed the baby g wash and it worked for his skin condition.
Lynn, I am so excited about this. I do have a question, though. Aside from using it as a bubble bath, did a little go a long way? Dry skin is something we combat all the time, and with one on the way, we want to look into more organic soaps and lotions. But as with most families, we too are on a budget. I question this because you mentioned the concentrated water-free formula. What are your thoughts?
Hi Heather!!! Yay – I am so so so happy you are here
Yep – it did go pretty far. I only allowed our E two-three pumps per bath and that was plenty for bubbles. I would think that two pumps on a poofy sponge would be enough for a shower or bath when used as a soap! I think it lasted us about 2 months? Hope this helps you!!
Thanks again for visiting!!! Made my day!!
