Welcome Ultimate Blog Partygoers!

Buckle up and hold tight blog-hoppers…we’re goin for a ride! Last year’s party was so fun huh? Well here we go for 2011!

Now even though I don’t “technically” own a Ford Escape Hybrid and my other car is in the shop or barn or whatever, I can absolutely assure you that if I did own an Escape…we be cruisin right now, yo! So then non-technically speaking, we are saving a whole shoosh load of gas and carbon emissions by just chillin on our little virtual eco-journey through smilinggreenmom!

So seriously, familiarize yourself with all exits, safety features and the oh-my-gosh-you-drive-like-a-nut handle bar K? It’s gonna be fun and I am psyched you are here – don’t believe me? (yeah, there’s more where this came from) check it out!

Oh what’s that smell you ask? Why of course it’s not chemically-based, artificially icky new car scent, so that leaves two options. There’s a strong possibility that it might be that my kids left their stench of fresh mud puddle in the back seat or it could be pure fresh lavender aromatherapy. Both smell delicious don’t they? I know, old muddy puddle water may not be *quite* as yummy as the lavender, but hey…dirty stinky grass-stained kids really do rock!

But since it’s been freaking-freezing cold here and not really springy-mud puddle type weather yet, the other option makes more sense. And besides, I want you to feel comfy-cozy relaxed as we go on our SGM eco-road-trip! Soooo…yes, I admit to spritzing a few (and by few I might actucally mean something like 52 spritzies of yummy fresh aromatherapy spray. I didn’t want it to be too strong. You’re welcome!). So breath deeply, relax and harmonize your mind, body and spirit! Aaaaah….that’s right.

Oh but we probably need some good tunes. What do you like? You can have anything you want – you name it. Justin Bieber or Jimmy Buffett. The choice is yours. Anything. But you have to stay within these parameters. So go on, pick – anything at all. JB or JB? I’m all about being a good hostess – so you pick! Oh and I also have Jack Johnson. Good Stuff.

Oh and incase you are the “anxious” traveler, sorta like most people under the age of 10 – you might want to check out “The Are we There Yet Travel Guide” before we get moving along. Might help. If you are a mom, you totally need this. And if you aren’t sure if you are a mom (which would be awfully strange) you should read “You know your a Mommy when” to help refresh you memory. On a side-note, I was once told that breastfeeding your children leads to memory-loss because they suck the brain cells right out of us mama’s! That’s a joke – breastfeeding is wonderful, don’t be scared!

Now you might be thinking “who is this crazy greenie I am riding in a car with? Well, I’m Lynn (a.k.a. smilinggreenmom) and I am a happy goofy green mom and wife and I am completely in love with my family…the Smiling Green Family that is! Find out about our life according to Jerry Seinfeld. Our son has severe food allergies which really opened our eyes to the amounts of toxins that our world contains and we knew we needed and wanted to make our home and family safe, healthy and toxin-free! It has become my passion to share our journey in greening our life, raising green kids, eating healthy whole foods all while having a blast!
