Many of you will be spending more time outdoors now that the weather is beginning to cooperate – and with Memorial Day approaching…this Fruit Salad recipe will be a grilling-out, picnic-style crowd-pleaser! I adore this dish – it’s so healthy and incredibly mouth-watering delish and it comes to you from a fabulous new cookbook called “Teen Cuisine”
I also love that they provide illustrations for the beginner cook-ologist…… “how to” slice a pineapple – perfect for the teen chef!
I really like how basic and straight forward the directions are and I think it makes it so much easier for anyone who is trying to interpret the instructions.
…and a chef’s tip? How cool is that? It’s all those little things that maybe we as adults have learned over time and take for granted. But it’s these things that teen’s and younger chefs find of great value!
This cookbook is FULL of great tips, healthy recipes, gorgeous, large and brightly colored photos and so much more! I love that it uses fun “kid/teen” language like
Brilliant Breakfasts
Snacks and co-stars
Celebrity Soups
and shooting star entrees!
as well as a Metric Conversion Chart, Kitchen Equipment and Utensils with illustrations and of course the oodles of yummy treats that are easy to make and taste great. This book is perfect for the beginner cook and a still great to have on-hand for adults too.
“There’s no need to eat plain and uninspired cooking! Whether you’re a first-time or seasoned chef, you can prepare and take pride in the more than 50 mouthwatering recipes in this book for all times of day.
All the recipes feature organic ingredients and foods that are available in supermarkets from coast to coast. No recipe is too hard for the beginning cook. Just follow the step-by-step directions and enjoy making your favorite dishes from scratch. So what will you be doing for memorial Day? Cooking Out?
Full Disclosure: I did receive a copy of Teen Cuisine to review, free of charge. This is no way impacted my opinion of the book – my thoughts remain mine alone!

Oh YUM! This fruit salad recipe has totally been bookmarked
Yum!!!
What a gorgeous photo! It sure caught my eye. I love the addition of poppy seeds to the salad: a bit of crunch and protein! I am a cookbook addict. This one looks great…for me and my teens.
