Do you use safe nail polish? Do you use non-toxic nail polish? Would you like to find a safe and healthy nail color that you can feel good about and look super fab-u-loso in? Dear one, please tell me you answered with a resounding YES!? If you are reading this…my hope is that you desire healthy, safe and non-toxic goodies like a good little greenie. (don’t make the SGM police come after you!)
I recently wrote about my disgust dissatisfaction and un-love of the “typical” commercially available nail colors and nail products on our local store shelves (found here if you missed it). Nail care products are considered one of the most harmful substances available in cosmetics with ingredients that “typically include formaldehyde, toluene, acetone, phthalates, and FD&C colors. The risks associated with these chemicals include everything from birth defects to hormone disruption to increased cancer risks – not to mention the damage they do to the environment” (Keeki).
There’s something about a fresh and fun color of lemon or tangerine on our nails during the summer months, isn’t there? It’s like a little “pick-me-up” of sorts that makes me feel all shabby chic and pretty! Our M is even more so into the “pretty diva things” than I ever was at her age and it is so so cute to see her get all fancy-fied in her favorite fuchsia sundress, frilly pony-tail holders and prance around with a splash of coordinating magenta on her teeny little toenails.
Cute is one thing.
It’s a terrifying thought to think that our girls are twirling, swirling and dancing around like princesses with potential poison on their fingertips.
Now that you are anxiously clinging to your computers…I have great news! I am so so soooo super duper excited and passionate about spreading the word for companies who are creating awesome healthy products that are good for us and our planet….and now….

Do like them? No.
I love em!!! Love love love, kiss kiss kiss – thank you Cupid for Keeki! (okay yes, I am over-dramatizing a bit – but they are wonderfully adorable with cute and fun colors like blue slushie, orange sorbet and chocolate covered cherry! Kids totally dig groovy names like these and the colors are so mod and chic, that any 8 year old, 17 year old or ME-year old would enjoy them too. Now the names of the colors do not represent my choices of foods too eat, nor am I endorsing them – just so we are all on the same page and yada yada yada.
Our M picked out three different nail polish and their non-toxic nail polish remover for reviewing and they were a hit!
She just loved the raspberry sorbet and sour apple slushie mixed together on every other finger (pink, green, pink, green) and after about a day or so she requested the GLOW IN THE DARK polish for added fun! Can you believe they make that? Seeee….I knew you would love them too!
I hope you like these as much as M and I do! It’s fun to be a girl (most of the time LOL) and we deserve healthy beauty options that make us feel and look like the princesses we are
Now we can all let our hair down, twirl and swirl and dance with lovely painted nails and no worries about chemcials! Our daughter’s deserve this. We all deserve this!
